our Senior Pastor
Pastor Jo
Pastor Jovan Edward Lee Cline was born on Tuesday, 30th August, 1994 to Bishop John Ivan Cline and Brenda Cline nee Tomason. He is the second and last child born to the pair, but also has younger sister named She’Naajah. His eldest brother is named Brandon.
“Pastor Jo”, as he is affectionately called, grew up in the Cane Garden Bay community on the Island of Tortola in the Virgin Islands.
For his early education, he attended the Cane Garden Bay Baptist Church Daycare Centre and the Ivan Dawson Primary School before continuing his secondary education at the Elmore Stoutt High School. He graduated in 2010.
His formative years were shared among positive groups like the Purple Dragon Martial Arts (Second Degree Black Belt), the Elmore Stoutt High School Drama Society and the Cane Garden Bay Baptist Church worship teams. He credits his involvement in many youth groups as the vehicle which allowed him to become socially and spiritually aware of himself and the community in which he lived and was called to serve in different ways. His desire to serve is therefore a direct result from his various group participations and community involvement ad God used each to fashion his desire to help, and amalgamated passion, purpose, and preparation.
For his collegiate studies, he attended the H. Lavity Stoutt Community College where he studied General Sciences with a concentration in Biology. Upon completion of his Associates degree, he chose Rutgers University, New Jersey, U.S.A., a university in the familiar state where his mother was born. He admittedly chose this university so that he could attend the Abundant Life Family Worship Church in New Brunswick, where he could understudy Donna Clyne’s praise and worship style. He was close to family but now even closer to the family he forged within the church. After three years of studies in Psychology, with a minor in Education, he attained his Bachelors degree.
When he returned to the Virgin Islands in 2015, he was employed by the Government of the Virgin Islands as a School Counsellor and assigned to the Elmore Stoutt High School, becoming one of three males at the secondary school level and only one of three males in school-based counselling, serving schools territory wide. He served in that position from 2016 to 2019 before resigning to join the staff at The Wellness Center as a mental health consultant from 2019 to 2022. Additionally, he supported the family business, Infinite Solutions, in various capacities. During these various tenures he continued to serve as a youth pastor.
Pastor Jo is the founder of the Rise Foundation, a non-profit organisation, for youth development through the arts, sciences, and culture. Through the foundation and other platforms, he continues to work towards, and learn about, different ways to create opportunities to help individuals realise and fulfill their purpose through faith, relevance, and genuine expression.
In December of 2019, Cline married Rossy’Maria George. A beautiful love story, a tale as old as time, he met her when they were in Form Two at the Elmore Stoutt High School but did not date her until later in his life. They dated for one year, was engaged for one year and were married. They have no children currently.
An established recording artist, he is best known for his 2017 single ‘I Believe’ among other works like ‘What He Said’ (2021), ‘Omnipotent’ (2020) and ‘Never Defeated’ (2017).
Pastor Jo was ordained as a pastor on Sunday, 29th January, 2022.

Have you ever listened to a symphony? Maybe you have enjoyed a genre of music that has totally captivated you. You have put on your favorite music, closed your eyes and felt the thrill of the skilled musicians as they played and masterfully joined notes together that infused pure energy into your soul. All the notes joined together at the right time and in the right space. You heard the voice of agreement in the music and so found true bliss in the moment. The agreement you heard in that music was so exact that it energized and enthusiastically engaged you to react. That was the power of agreement brilliantly emphasized and demonstrated in music.
Get up today, inhale and exhale!!!
That’s the breath of a champion, an overcomer.
You do not have to go far to find the meaning of a true champion.
Just look inside of you. For all the rough roads that you have walked through on this journey; you have discovered the champion in you.
The word Abide means; to remain stable or fixed, to dwell; to endure; to sustain.
Where ever you stand in your journey and whatever has greeted you this day, you are here. Storms have passed over, overwhelming situations have dissipated, but you are here. What kept you? Who kept you? Look back at the lessons and give thanks for what you have learnt. Look again and consider who has been your constant companion. He is the companion of champions. God Himself is with you. You abide in Him and He abides in you.
“New Life Correctional Fellowship Ministry (CFM) seeks to restore those incarcerated by introducing the prisoners to new beginnings, new purpose and a new life available through Jesus Christ. Our objective is to reduce the rate of offenders, aid in rehabilitation of prisoners, assist families that have members in prison and aid in prevention of incarceration. We perform our prison outreach on the last Saturday of each month where we have fellowship with the prisoners, assist in the provision of the basic needs of those who require assistance and provide a sense of belonging by having a celebration with those prisoners who make birthday each month.
